Jennifer-Ruth Bevin Peters

Jennifer-Ruth Bevin Peters, age 47, of Coon Rapids, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2023, after a months-long struggle with Pancreatic Cancer. 

Preceded in death by her father, John Thomas Luke Peters; grandparents, E. Lorain & Irene Tinnes; uncle, Lawrence Tinnes; aunt, Ruth Tinnes, and loving dog Layla. Survived by her mother, Sally E Peters; uncle, Eric Tinnes; cousin, Shelby Nicole Tinnes; cousins, Dawn and Ricky Tinnes; godmother, Wendy P Johnson, and her clan; A tribe of fierce women friends, who helped to care for her in her final weeks 

Jenny was born in Minneapolis, MN and moved to Montclair, CA at 7 months. After returning 4 1/2 years later, she stayed put in the greater metro area. She got into the food industry at 15, and famously got a ride to work during the Halloween blizzard in 1991. She shifted to furniture sales and design around 8 years ago. Her home reflects her craft. Last December, she vacationed in Greece, inspired by the beauty of Santorini and met someone there. She returned in April, but was already feeling the effects of her cancer and treatment. 

Jennifer’s life will be celebrated with a SendOff at 7 PM, with Visitation beginning at 4PM, Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Roberts Family Funeral Home, 555 SW Centennial Drive, Forest Lake. The SendOff will be livestreamed here.

Dress to be inspired in some way by Jenny. Tutus are not required, but are encouraged. Memorials in the form of donations to pancreatic research preferred to flowers.
